Every artist is required from time to time to work up an artist's statement. I think it is an odious task. To express the visual verbally is difficult and, to most artists, I think, unnecessary. This piece is not really a statement but a sort of drawing with words. It's not concrete poetry either but an expression of what was on my mind about my work at a certain moment. Ideas from the drawings are worked into the text. Also, it was made on a typewriter. There is a link to a larger copy so you can read it if you want to.
